Becca is a board-certified music therapist and co-founder of Crescent City Music Therapy. Originally from Boston, MA, Becca is a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy and a minor in Psychology. Becca relocated to New Orleans in 2013 after accepting an internship at River Oaks Hospital. During her internship, Becca worked closely with people from various ages and backgrounds, across many areas of the psych spectrum, including individuals experiencing trauma, psychosis, addictions, and eating disorders. She completed her clinical internship and became board-certified in March, 2014. Upon receiving her certification, Becca continued to work in various clinical settings, including behavioral health with adolescents, geriatric psych in a hospital environment, and assisted living facilities serving individuals with Alzheimer’s. Becca is passionate about serving any client in need who is dedicated to the betterment of their life. Becca practices from a client-centered approach with an existentialist overview, hoping to empower clients to be autonomous and create meaning in their own lives. It is her hope that Crescent City Music Therapy can increase the accessibility of music therapy services throughout the New Orleans community to all who can benefit.
